A yoga escape immersed in culture to ignite your wanderlust spirit.
Marrakech is vibrant, full of history, tradition, culture and art, where the past meets the present. A world of wanderlust, colourful sights and textiles, with a beating pulse and rhythm to inspire you to be truly present. This is more than a retreat, it’s an escape for the senses. Get ready to explore, wander and be completely lost in the moment. You will be staying at a Riad just outside of the Medina in Marrakech offering a true oasis and tranquillity, to unwind and reconnect.
After a sold-out retreat in 2024, we cannot wait to return to Marrakech!! Together, we will embrace our adventurous spirit, and “retreat” ourselves. We love yoga, we love to travel, and creating magic that happens only on a retreat!
The Destination
Morocco is known for its colourful souks, epic mountains, sweeping deserts and ancient cities
Marrakech is the most historic and most visited district in Morocco and with good reason. It is located in the northwest corner of Africa, situated in the centre of the Haouz Plain and south of the Tennsift River this energetic city is known for its colourful souks and local spices, welcoming its travellers with warm hospitality and a fresh glass of mint tea. Your senses will ignite with the smell of herbal shops and spice towers beside carpet-covered walls of the pastel pink medina. The Medina is the beating heart of the city, surrounded by walls, forming several gateways, known as ‘the red city’.
As you wander the traditional quarters of the Medina, you’ll find bazaars, traditional souks, museums and Riads. Strolling the Jemaa El-Fna square you will be amazed by its splendour and its diversity, and be immersed in modern Morocco. The architectural richness of the Medina offers small oriental palaces overlooking a beautiful patio with sunny terraces to take in all that is around you. The districts of Gueliz and Hivernage offer the most modern infrastructures, luxury boutiques and airy avenues, which all contribute to Marrakech's unique offering.
Our Riad is located just outside the Medina and embraces all of this colourful scenery. An authentic and unique place full of local history, tradition, art, and local flavours. A celebration of Moroccan culture and opens the doors to this fascinating world.
The Riad
The Riad is located just outside the historical Medina in the heart of Marrakech
You will be staying in luxury, a tropical oasis, with colourful tiles, traditional textiles and an abundance of plantation, providing a home away from home. A true sanctuary to relax and unwind from a day of exploring. There are connecting Riads at the venue, with open courtyards and a plunge pool in the middle to cool off in between classes. The connecting rooftop terrace has cabanas and day beds to relax with a book or fresh mint tea. With an indoor yoga studio and outdoor rooftop yoga space, you will enjoy Marrakech’s famous sunrises and sunsets. Our personal favourite is the onsite hammam spa offering a range of massages and treatments. The owners of the Riad are passionate about offering a unique and authentic experience, insight into Moroccan culture and have created the most peaceful experience for you!
Find Balance
Flow into stillness. Embrace the yang & yin!
Just like our yoga practice, the venue embraces history and tradition, right down to the yoga! The yoga spaces captivate the essence and vibrancy of Morocco. There are two yoga shalas we will be practicing throughout the week. An indoor yoga space embracing Moroccan styling, textiles and detailing. With hardwood charcoal floorboard and Aztec mirrors with earthy tones, offering an oasis to embody the practice. To mix things up, outdoor practices will be on the rooftop terrace! You will be immersed in sound and captivated by the blush sunsets.
Nourish Body & Soul
We believe a retreat is only as good as the food!
Meals will be served at large communal tables on the rooftop terrace. We have worked closely with the venue to create meals that are rich in nutrients, which will leave you feeling nourished and refreshed. Meals will include local flavours and locally sourced ingredients. Mornings will be a variety of fresh seasonal fruit, Moroccan bread served with traditional honey from the Atlas Mountains, freshly prepared eggs and juice, coffee or fresh mint tea. Evenings will be fresh and healthy Moroccan-inspired cuisine using a formula of spices, to tantalise the taste buds! Think delicious Tagines, Tanjias, and couscous.
Please reach out before booking if you have any dietary requirements so we can work with the venue to cater for you.
Yoga Styles
Dynamic Flow
A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.
Yin Yoga
Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe yin yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods of time to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. We believe in the balance, ease, and wholeness that Yin brings to students. These practices give you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.
Sound Healing
Sound healing is the practice of using different sounds and instruments to create a deep connection with yourself, your intuition and improve your emotional well-being. Amy will guide you through sound healing sessions using pure quartz crystal singing bowls, incorporating mediation techniques, and using mantra and intention setting to allow you to dive deep into relaxation. Sound healing baths will be practiced lying down using props to support the body, offering a space to rest, unwind and heal through the frequency of sound.
Gimme More
Throughout the week we will include special yoga workshops as well as sprinkle in pranayama and meditation experiences for a complete practice.
Escape to the Desert
We have planned some very special experiences to be immersed in everything this area has to offer. We will explore the Atlas Mountains village of Ourika with a local guide to learn all about North Africa's highest mountain range and have a traditional lunch at a Berber village overlooking the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. On our final afternoon together, we will adventure to the Agafay Desert to a magical hideaway camp located in the middle of the vast stone desert, 45 min away from Marrakech. The camp has a pool overlooking the desert and we will practice yoga at sunset, followed by a concious feast!
All of our retreats have ample free time so you can explore and rest at your leisure. Marrakech is famous for its culture and history. There is so much to explore close by in the Medina. Jardin Majorelle is always top of the list, created by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. It is famous for its indigo blue art deco house and botanical gardens, which are home to more cacti than you could ever imagine.
If you’re after a slice of exploring with a side of deep relaxation, Morocco is home to Hamman spas. The venue even has its own hammam. Picture this, Hammam into Sound Healing Journey, yes, please!

Absolutely! A yoga retreat is a great place to make new friends and meet like minded people. If for some reason there is no one to pair you with for a shared room, you would need to pay for a single room.

The group size varies depending on the destination and venue. Typically our experiences average between 12 - 18 students and ensure the perfect teacher to studio ratio so everyone feels supported and connected. The more students, the more teachers. What food can I expect on retreat?
Only the best! We love food and it is such an important part of the retreat experience. We work with our venues to curate a beautiful menu of fresh and local cuisines.
