The Sacred Valley is a mystical and magical part of Peru that leave a big imprint on your heart

Our home for the week is situated in the Sacred Valley, in the Andean highlands of Peru, close to Cusco. The Sacred Valley stretches along the Urubamba River and includes towns like Ollantaytambo, Pisac, and Urubamba. It spans approximately 100 kilometers between Pisac and Machu Picchu. This remarkable landscape features agricultural land bordered by towering Andean mountains, ancient Inca towns and the iconic archaeological site of Machu Picchu.

Samadhi Valley is considered the spiritual and commercial heart of Peru. There is something truly special about this part of the world, where various crops and fruit trees thrive in the valley climate amoungst the mountains. Star attractions are the markets and the lofty Inca citadels of Pisac and Ollantaytambo. The retreat venue integrates culture in its mystical and magical essence. Located within a native community of farmers, rich in folklore, rites, myths and wonders of the world.

Samadhi’s Yoga Sanctuary

Surrounded by the mountains. The perfect space to dive deep into the practice.

At Samadhi Sacred Valley Yoga Retreat, large panoramic windows showcase the surrounding mountains, allowing you to feel fully immersed in nature during your yoga practice. Each morning begins with a dynamic Vinyasa flow to energise body and mind. Afternoon Yin sessions provide reflection, restoration and balance after days of exploring. The breath-taking mountains views will provide a backdrop of calm and expansiveness to our practices.

Yoga Styles

Dynamic Flow

A strong, alignment-based vinyasa practice. Through intelligent sequencing, informed alignment, and yogic wisdom, students are encouraged to slow down and experience every moment of their lives. Our morning practices will be challenging and awakening, yet accessible for all levels.

Yin Yoga

Long, slow, and deep is one way to describe yin yoga. Postures are low to the ground and are held for longer periods of time to bring stillness and restoration to the body and mind. We believe in the balance, ease, and wholeness that Yin brings to students. Daily, afternoon yin practices balance our active mornings, giving you time to rest and digest and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is the practice of using different sounds and instruments to create a deep connection with yourself, your intuition and improve your emotional well-being. Amy will guide you through sound healing sessions using pure quartz crystal singing bowls, incorporating mediation techniques, using mantra and intention setting to allow you to dive deep into relaxation. Sound healing baths will be practiced lying down using props to support the body, offering a space to rest, unwind and heal through the frequency of sound.

Food for the Soul

Nourish your body, mind and soul with farm to table, plant-based dishes using local and fresh ingredients

Food brings people together! Every meal on retreat is an experience of connection and an opportunity to nurture the body and feed the soul. With meals inspired by the onsite vegetable garden and served around a communal table overlooking the mountains, it will be a celebration of joy. We have worked closely with the team at Samadhi to create a culinary adventure and a wholesome food journey. Featuring organic, nutritious, balanced, and healthy dishes prepared by talented chefs, aimed at strengthening your immune system with superfoods like maca, pollen, honey, and more!

Explore the Andes & Peru’s Cultural Treasures

The Andes mountains elegantly carve their way through Peru, running from north to south, creating a breathtaking chain of snow-capped peaks and varied landscapes. This majestic mountain range is not only the highest outside Asia but also the longest continental range in the world. Prepare to dive into a vibrant tapestry of culture, history, and adventure.

Peru is a land enriched by over 5,000 years of civilization and awe-inspiring archaeological wonders. This remarkable history is reflected in its vibrant living cultures, stunning natural beauty, and diverse wildlife. With its year-round appeal, October is for us the ideal time to visit, offering excellent weather throughout the country while sidestepping the peak tourist crowds of June to August.

Among Peru's incredible treasures, Machu Picchu stands out as a true wonder of the world, home to numerous pre-Hispanic sites that predate the Incas. Often regarded as the crown jewel of Peru, we highly encourage you to explore this iconic site either before or after your retreat. Embark on an unforgettable journey along the Inca Trail or witness the breathtaking beauty of Rainbow Mountain—the experiences are sure to leave you enchanted by this extraordinary destination.

We have an incredible guided hike planned for you during the retreat, inviting you to explore the breathtaking Sacred Valley alongside a knowledgeable local guide. Our retreats embody the spirit of balance, offering you both structure and the freedom to fully embrace the experience. Take this opportunity to relax at the venue between classes—immerse yourself in a good book and soak in the stunning scenery that surrounds you. Embrace the tranquility and reconnect with the beauty of nature!
